Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of the department. This care aligns with the standards and scope of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, employing established nursing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.' The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to foster an exceptional patient experience. Our clinical outcomes significantly contribute to the overall performance of the department.

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic responses and intervening as necessary in case of adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations prior to procedures, reviewing medical history and diagnostic tests, as well as performing physical and psychological assessments. Ensure that patients and their families understand the procedure and the peri-operative process, obtaining necessary consent.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance patient experiences, including safety rounds, communication fundamentals, and patient education techniques.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, ensuring clarity in interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues, and appropriately escalating care concerns.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
