Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering prescribed medical care and personal support services to patients under the guidance of a licensed healthcare professional. This role operates within the full scope of practice, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout patient interactions.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and organizing patient records prior to appointments, as well as performing essential tasks related to patient care, such as measuring vital signs, documenting health history, and managing medication records.

The LPN serves as a vital link between patients, healthcare providers, office personnel, and external contacts, facilitating effective communication and ensuring a seamless workflow. Responsibilities also include collecting patient samples, maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms, and preparing patients for examinations.

In addition, the LPN anticipates the needs of both patients and providers, assists with insurance authorizations, and coordinates scheduling for tests and procedures. Adherence to practice policies and procedures is essential, along with performing any additional duties as assigned.



Qualifications Required:
Current New York State licensure/registration as an LPN. A valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an outpatient medical setting is preferred. Familiarity with Women's Health is advantageous but not required.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with rotating shifts and hours.

Compensation:

Salary Grade:
$30.48 per hour
