Department: Medicine - Rheumatology
Key Responsibilities:
In this highly-visible role, you will be responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of various physician practices within the Department of Medicine. The Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality and efficient patient care.
Specific duties include:
- Handling and accurately documenting all patient inquiries and triaging calls appropriately;
- Returning calls on behalf of the physician as necessary;
- Coordinating patient appointments and completing patient registration as required;
- Managing the clinical, research, and administrative schedules of physicians;
- Addressing urgent patient matters as directed by the physician;
- Overseeing physician/patient correspondence through the hospital's electronic medical record system;
- Providing administrative support for physician dictation tasks;
- Compiling and tracking physician expense reports and reimbursement requests;
- Maintaining office supply inventory and placing orders as needed;
- Offering backup support to other departmental roles as required;
- Performing additional administrative tasks as directed by the physician, supervisor, or department leadership.

- Bachelor's degree preferred; an associate's degree is required, with relevant experience considered in lieu of education.

Minimum: USD $32.97/Hr.
