Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine maintenance activities to ensure maximum safety, product quality, and production output.
  • Repairing, rebuilding, and modifying existing tooling with limited supervision.
  • Polishing tooling, repairing parting lines, and fixing shutoffs.
  • Developing solutions to problems and suggesting improvements to make the tool more robust or produce higher quality parts with reduced breakdowns.
  • Making mold tooling components with limited supervision.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with machining or be currently taking machining coursework.
  • A high school diploma or greater.
  • The ability to read, write, and perform advanced mathematics.
  • The ability to read blueprints, work from sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of operation of shop fabrication equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of tooling and machine design.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with considerable sensory attention.
  • Use hand tools and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods and walk considerable distances.
