Job Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who coordinates clinical activities within the Surgical Services Department at Good Samaritan Medical Center. This role involves direct and indirect supervision of staff members, house supervision duties, and collaboration with the Manager and/or Director to plan and supervise delivery of care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates clinical activities within the Surgical Services Department
- Directs and indirectly supervises staff members
- Assumes house supervision duties as assigned
- Collaborates with the Manager and/or Director to plan and supervise delivery of care standards
- Responsible for the general management of patient/customer concerns, including resolution and service recovery
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction and participates in customer service activities
- Increases communication and awareness across the organization to improve patient satisfaction
- Optimizes the use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- Successful completion of Basic EKG course
- Certifications specific to areas of expertise preferred
Experience
- 2-3 years RN experience in the Operating Room
Physical Requirements
- Subject to normal working conditions
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
