Job Description

This Case Worker Coordinator role plays a vital part in our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding community resources to meet the needs of unaccompanied children aged 0-17 1/2, referred through shelters or trusted foster care providers.

Under the supervision of the Director of Support, you will provide ongoing support to these children and their sponsors throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to their parents or sponsors.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Research community resources to support children and sponsors
  • Create physical and digital libraries containing state-specific resources
  • Develop guides and checklists to help families navigate available resources
  • Distribute and track donations
  • Travel to meet with donors and collect donations as needed
  • Send essential documents to sponsors, including safety guidelines, nutrition information, and activities for children
  • Audit electronic folders for minors and create case reports
  • Schedule interpreter services and travel arrangements when required
  • Prepare correspondence and ensure roster data accuracy on UC Portal

About the Position:

  • Non-exempt position with regular hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred
  • One-year experience working with families and children necessary
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
  • Bilingual English-Spanish required
  • Valid driver's license necessary
  • Familiarity with government programs and community resources
  • Ability to manage workload, organize job activities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines
