Job Summary

This role involves providing critical support to children aged 0-17 1⁄2 referred through shelters or trusted foster care providers. As a Case Aide, you will expand the range of community resources available to meet their needs, ensuring continuity throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement to their parents or sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research Community Resources: Identify and document essential resources for the children and sponsors, including state-specific information and guides.
  • Resource Development: Create digital libraries, guides, checklists, and resource tracking systems to facilitate seamless access and navigation.
  • Donation Management: Coordinate donations, distribute resources, and maintain accurate records.
  • Sponsor Support: Send vital documents, safety guidelines, nutrition information, and activity materials to sponsors as needed.
  • Data Management: Audit electronic folders, create case reports, complete case information sheets, schedule interpreter services, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Travel Arrangements: Assist with traveling arrangements, cancellations, and scheduling appointments for sponsors and minors.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma/GED; Associate's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with families and children.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English-Spanish.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to manage workload, organize job activities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
