Combat Engineer Specialist

Job Summary: As a Combat Engineer in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of military operations by designing and building bridges, roadways, and defensive positions. You will also be responsible for detecting and safely neutralizing mines and other dangers to safeguard your team and repel the enemy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct fighting positions, fixed/floating bridges, obstacles, and defensive positions
  • Place and detonate explosives
  • Conduct operations that include route clearance of obstacles and rivers

Requirements:

  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
