Hospital Assistant 1

This is a critical position within the UC Davis Health System, responsible for providing support to the Supply Chain Management department. The Hospital Assistant 1 will be responsible for delivering and picking up medical equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining inventories and receiving, stocking, storing, issuing, and distributing equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery Systems: 50% of time spent on delivering medical equipment and supplies to various departments within the medical center.
- Replenishment Systems: 20% of time spent on replenishing inventory levels and ensuring that supplies are available when needed.
- Inventory Systems: 15% of time spent on maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving, stocking, storing, issuing, and distributing equipment and supplies.
- Documentation and Accuracy: 10% of time spent on ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping of inventory levels, deliveries, and other supply chain activities.
- Other Duties: 5% of time spent on other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Management department.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and walk frequently.
