Personal Financial Counselor

This position provides critical support to military service members and their families by offering personal financial counseling and management services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial planning, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one counseling and education to service members and their families on personal financial management.
- Develop and deliver financial workshops and classes on topics such as budgeting, saving, and investing.
- Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and meet installation needs.
- Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes to provide support to service members and their families.
- Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.
- Bachelor's degree required; may consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
- Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
- Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.
