The ideal candidate will develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices.
- Supervise and direct the activities of assistants and aides in delivering quality care to patients.
- Contribute to case management and ensure effective communication with facilities and clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing continuing education coursework to meet state licensure requirements.
- Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or a substantially equivalent education.
- State licensure/registration where applicable.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and possess strong leadership skills.
- Effective clinical problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and prioritize issues, develop and execute sound action plans, and ensure appropriate results.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the workday.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday.
- Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
The Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment, interacting with patients, caregivers, and facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
