Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasonographer/Echocardiographer to enhance our healthcare team and deliver exceptional service to our patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will possess certification as an Ultrasonographer/Echocardiographer. We also welcome applications from Ultrasound Technologists interested in receiving training for Echo certification, with support provided for educational advancement.

This full-time role encompasses 36 hours per week with a schedule that does not require working on weekends, holidays, or being on call.

The selected individual will play a vital role within the Radiology department, offering assistance at the front desk and supporting patient care as needed.

Responsibilities include performing a range of complex ultrasound examinations, such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular studies. The role may also involve conducting advanced imaging across all age demographics.

Upon achieving Echo certification, the technologist will be responsible for conducting echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, in collaboration with cardiologists.

Applicants must be graduates of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold current registration from the ARRT. Additionally, a valid Iowa Permit to Practice is required.

Certification from ARDMS in abdomen, OB, vascular, and breast imaging is essential.

For those currently employed as an Ultrasound/Echo Technologist:

Echo Technologists should have graduated from a radiology or cardiovascular technology program, with mandatory training in Cardiovascular Sonography.

Preferred qualifications include ARDMS certification in registered diagnostic sonography (RDCS), adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography, and registered vascular technologist.
