Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Renewable Energy Business Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the development of strategies for targeting clients, building organizational partnerships, and working with client executives from project conceptualization through to construction and implementation. This role requires an out-of-the-box thinker and doer with proven success in the renewable energy industry.
This full-time position involves extensive travel, from project to project as needed, with potential to be based in one of our offices between projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
The list of primary responsibilities includes:
- Identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing growth strategies, and building strong partnerships to achieve revenue and market share objectives
- Collaborating with the executive team to develop and refine the company's business development strategies and objectives
- Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and emerging trends
- Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities
- Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential clients by leveraging various channels such as industry events, referrals, online platforms, and partnerships
- Conducting thorough market assessments and evaluating potential clients for strategic fit and alignment with company goals
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective clients and partners
- Acting as a trusted advisor and building rapport to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives
- Effectively communicating the value propositions of our products or services and leveraging these relationships to secure new business deals and partnerships
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to identify and evaluate market opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, people, and presentation skills
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and exceeding expectations
