Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recovery Reentry Residential Housing Placement Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting participants with transitional programming, including mental health, transitional housing, and general counseling needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, organize, and disseminate housing information conducive to long-term recovery and stable housing.
  • Locate market-rate housing opportunities and provide referrals to community housing and related resources.
  • Create housing and placement plans with each participant based on their goals and needs related to housing.
  • Provide referrals to community housing and related resources.
  • Follow up with participants regarding housing applications and other aspects of their search.
  • Ensure participants adhere to all rules and requirements of Transitional House.
  • Prepare for and facilitate weekly housing meetings to share current opportunities and provide information identifying practices of a good tenant.
  • Oversee transitional housing in the community to ensure facilities are in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in a manner that promotes a team spirit and a sense of cooperation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years related work experience.
  • Knowledge of current management techniques.
  • Familiarity with the correctional system and current correctional policies.
  • Ability to conduct individual counseling sessions and facilitate small groups, and interface with outside agencies.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports in English using correct grammar.
  • Must be able to react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
Compensation

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of USD $27.00/Hr.
