Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Design and Engineering Lead to join our team at Kohler. This is a key role in our organization, responsible for designing, managing, and coordinating electrical systems across various projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on building electrical system design. They will be responsible for leading project teams, developing design packages, and ensuring that all electrical systems meet the necessary codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage electrical systems for new facilities, renovations, and expansions of existing facilities.
  • Lead project teams, including junior engineers and external consultants.
  • Develop conceptual plans, design packages, and value-engineering assessments.
  • Coordinate electrical system design with other engineering disciplines.
  • Estimate project costs and communicate complex technical information effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Electrical Systems from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 6 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably with a Professional Engineer license and PMP certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of IBC, ADA, NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, and other relevant codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex information.
