Job Title: Senior Security Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Operations Engineer to join our team at Bank of Hope. As a key member of our Security Operations Department, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating security operations to ensure the protection of our organization's information assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Lead and support information security incident response activities, including triaging, remediation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.
  • Manage and operationalize SIEM environment changes and new system capabilities.
  • Create and provide oversight for rule creation to generate actionable security alerts and meet audit requirements.
  • Provide architectural direction and oversight for SIEM, AV/EDR, IP/IDS, DLP, and other security solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom documentation related to SIEM architecture, engineering, operations, and maintenance.
  • Lead proof of concept/value projects and evaluate products and solutions.
  • Provide oversight into vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Support application security activities, including SAST scan reviews and DAST scans.
  • Monitor and analyze security operations to ensure an appropriate level of information protection is achieved and maintained.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of security-related systems and applications.
  • Proactively manage, tune, and troubleshoot security logging, anti-malware, DLP, email security, and other security systems.
  • Support threat hunting activities and provide forensics support during incident response.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and standards.
  • Assist IT operations with remediation planning and implementations.
  • Develop and communicate security standards and procedures.
  • Research and recommend new security technology capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in security procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to create and follow documented procedures.
  • Familiarity with banking industry applications.

The salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $175,000 + bonus + benefits. Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
