As a Senior Security Engineer at The Capital Group Companies, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the secure use of Microsoft products across our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in reviewing infrastructure enhancements and making recommendations to improve security, guaranteeing that the design and implementation of products meet the highest security standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing comprehensive security POVs and initial build requirements for new products
  • Evaluating application integration points from a security perspective and providing risk assessments
  • Supporting incident response efforts and providing technical leadership to aid in investigations
  • Researching and evaluating emerging Microsoft services
  • Contributing to security best practices for the M365 suite of products, including Copilot
  • Serving as a tools and product SME for new and existing technology toolsets
  • Collaborating with Microsoft and internal teams to secure the changing landscape of the M365 suite
  • Driving high-quality product-related project delivery through stakeholder engagement and requirement understanding
  • Partnering with Information Technology on enabling new services and establishing secure configurations and governance
  • Collaborating with Information Technology on the full lifecycle of a product in M365, from initial exploration to deployment and operationalization
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years in Information Security
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows operating systems, M365 applications, and Azure
  • Strong background in security technical engineering and architecture, including infrastructure/cloud engineering or software development
  • Information Security certifications (CISSP, SANS GIAC, CISA, etc.) are a plus
  • Microsoft security certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert) are desired
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaboration between stakeholder teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to outline security risks to senior leadership
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships
Compensation and Benefits:
