We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echocardiographer to join our dynamic team at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Echo Lab, you will be responsible for performing transthoracic echocardiograms for patients of all ages, including fetuses, newborns, and adults with congenital heart disease.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard department protocols and sterile techniques.
- Recognize and address clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams.
- Communicate effectively with ordering and interpreting physicians to ensure appropriate use.
- Maintain active credential status by complying with continual education requirements.
- Report and document any adverse, unsafe, or unusual conditions.
- Troubleshoot equipment effectively and report issues to biomedical engineering or vendors.
- One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment performing cardiac or vascular sonography.
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic medical sonography or 5 years of specialized training in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- ARDMS Registered with RDCS Certification, or CCI Registered with RCS Certification for Echo, or ARDMS with RVT or CCI with the RVS; Certification for Vascular. BLS (AHA) certification is also required.
