We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team at Penn State Health - Physician Recruitment. This role involves providing comprehensive care for newborns, ensuring their health and well-being during critical periods.
Location: Lancaster
Employment Type: Full Time
Shift Details: Varied
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to newborns immediately following delivery.
- Support mothers during the postpartum period while ensuring newborn health.
- Provide care in the Acute Baby Nursery as necessary.
- Offer 24-hour coverage to assess and manage acute medical conditions.
- Participate in routine inpatient care for newborns as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills in neonatal resuscitation and hold current certifications in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Experience in a NICU setting at a facility with a Level 2 designation or higher is essential.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- National Certification relevant to the state of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
