We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Contracts Director to lead our Contracts function and team for the Defense/Intel IT Business Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting, with expertise in contract execution and proposal support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of contracts professionals at all stages of career development, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
- Provide oversight and review of all proposals, monitoring significant contracts, and leading key negotiations to ensure successful contract execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts, ensuring compliance with Leidos policies and procedures, as well as government and contract requirements.
- Establish measurement and functional performance goals for the team, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Collaborate with program managers, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective contract management and execution.
- Apply strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and executive management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, or Master's with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge within government contracting, with particular emphasis on contract execution and proposal support.
- Direct, recent experience with Air Force or Army customers is highly desired.
- Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience supervising or leading teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage geographically dispersed teams of professionals.
- Must have experience with all contract types and a working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
