Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and criminal activity
  • Dispatch Public Safety personnel and coordinate responses to incidents
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness through the use of advanced technology systems and data sources
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Public Safety personnel, law enforcement, and the public
Requirements
  • APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator 1 certification within 12 months of employment
  • 1 year of experience responding to alarms and monitoring security systems
  • Strong computer skills and ability to type 35-40 wpm
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
Working Conditions

This is a 24/7 operation, and Public Safety Telecommunicators must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The work environment is fast-paced and stressful, and incumbents must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
