About the Role

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team at Boeing Distribution Services Inc. as a Strategic Procurement Agent. This role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing aerospace fasteners and parts, as well as analyzing data to determine feasibility of buying products and establishing price objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase aerospace fasteners and parts
  • Analyze data to determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives
  • Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
  • Confer with suppliers and analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records
  • May prepare bid packages
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System experience
  • Advanced negotiations skills
  • Intermediate analytical skills
  • Professional/interpersonal verbal & written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Basic presentation skills
  • Advanced commodity / product knowledge
  • Experience with cost modeling / Cost driver structure
  • General knowledge of Aerospace compliance and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree – Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study
  • 6-8 years of related work experience preferred
  • APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), preferred
