Compensation:

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents, guests, and staff. This role involves leading the housekeeping team in alignment with the directives of the Environmental Services Director.

Essential Duties:
  • Conduct daily cleaning of all facility areas, including resident living spaces and communal areas.
  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
  • Provide training and support to housekeeping staff.
  • Coordinate with management to facilitate the cleaning of turnover and guest accommodations.
  • Oversee the sanitation of rooms designated for COVID-19 turnover.
  • Evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Communicate staffing needs and concerns to the Environmental Services Director.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management of shortages.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and storage of housekeeping equipment.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
  • Engage with residents to ensure satisfaction with housekeeping services.
  • Participate in mandatory facility meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Familiarize oneself with emergency procedures and participate in drills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and environmental services practices.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Understanding of residents' rights.

Supervisory Role:
The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor will guide the housekeeping team in the absence of the Environmental Services Director.

Work Environment:

This role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor will be on their feet for extended periods, engaging in various physical tasks, including lifting and carrying supplies.

Work Schedule:

This is an hourly position with varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience:

A solid background in the housekeeping or environmental services industry is essential.

Preferred Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a similar role within a senior living or healthcare setting is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is necessary. Candidates should be in good mental and physical health and possess strong leadership skills.
