We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
- Maintain and operate equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any potential problems or malfunctions.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately to produce high-quality images.
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Nuclear Medical Tech from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program, Nuclear Medical Tech from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
