About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level II to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in implementing skilled nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
  • Participate in the planning of care for patients, including knowledge of growth and development.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, employees, and physicians, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Certification by an approved certification body, such as the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and/or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) (CST).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
