Healthcare Professional - Nursing Specialist
Location: Pennsylvania

In this role, you will serve as a nursing specialist, either as a registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN), with the vital responsibility of enhancing the well-being of the patients in your care.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive medical and nursing care, assess healthcare needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement those plans effectively.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor and document patient health status and progress, and respond to medical emergencies with first aid.
  • Educate patients and staff on self-care, disease prevention, and healthcare practices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and correctional facility staff to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Manage inventory of medications and medical supplies.
  • Assist in administering treatments, monitor vital signs, support medical procedures, and alert healthcare team members to any changes in patient conditions.
  • Conduct assessments, formulate care plans, and manage complex medical cases.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing or practical nursing program.
  • Possession of a current and valid nursing license.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care or performing routine nursing tasks and administering medications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to adapt to dynamic environments and manage stressful situations.
  • Completion of background checks, drug screenings, and other requirements for correctional facilities.
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP), Mental Health First Aid, Infection Control, and Substance Abuse.
