Position Summary:

As a key member of our academic team, the Gross Anatomy Lab Adjunct Instructor will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational experiences to our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in Gross Anatomy labs, where students will learn the detailed anatomy of the muscles, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, organs, and visceral structures of the region. This will involve highlighting the regional anatomy of the head and anterolateral neck, spine and extremities, and thorax, abdomen, and pelvis.

Key Responsibilities:

The Gross Anatomy Lab Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for the following key duties:

1. Teaching and Instruction: Assist in Gross Anatomy labs, delivering engaging and effective educational experiences to students.

2. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Gross Anatomy curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.

3. Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in the assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes, providing feedback to students and contributing to the improvement of the curriculum.

4. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in anatomy education and incorporating new knowledge and skills into teaching practices.

5. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for students, and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors.

Position Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Education and Training: Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses: A Master's degree in clinical anatomy with at least four years of related experience, or a first professional degree with advanced training/experience in anatomy, is required.

Experience: Practical experience in human cadaveric dissection is essential.

Related Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The successful candidate will possess the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints, apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems, and access current electronic information.
