Position Type: Full-time
Remote Work: Available across the USA
Role Summary:
The Shared Services Specialist is responsible for managing all facets of client membership programs while supporting various functions within the Shared Services Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all elements of client membership programs
- Act as a subject matter expert for training and inquiries related to membership programs
- Conduct quality audits of internal and external vendor teams
- Analyze payment discrepancies and missing payments
- Develop automated methods for payment extraction
- Perform extensive payment reconciliations
- Generate payment reports and month-end summaries
- Evaluate current Shared Services processes to identify areas for improvement
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids as necessary
- Consistently uphold and promote the company’s mission and values
- Execute specific tasks related to Bad Debt Recovery as required
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A High School Diploma
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including file manipulation and creation
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Effective collaboration skills with diverse teams
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in work processes and responsibilities
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of major health insurance providers, including federal and state agencies
- Experience in medical billing and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial billing, and HIPAA regulations
Work Environment:
- Standard office setting
- Frequent use of telephone and computer
- Extended periods of sitting, with some standing required
- Utilization of basic office equipment such as computers, faxes, printers, and copiers
Remote Work Requirements:
- A quiet, distraction-free workspace
- A secure internet connection with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps
- A workspace that accommodates all necessary equipment and materials for productivity
