Job Overview

The Low Voltage Systems Technician plays a crucial role in facilitating the installation of telecommunication systems and related services for clients and vendors of A Tech Plus. This position involves collaboration within a team to execute installations, which encompass the setup of cabling, Set Top Boxes, and the configuration and maintenance of telecommunication devices such as phones, voicemail systems, and internet routers, alongside customer service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct testing on various cabling and communication equipment.
  • Assemble, install, configure, and test a variety of cable systems.
  • Complete work orders that include the installation of equipment, connecting and relocating devices, and troubleshooting signal issues.
  • Utilize various testing tools and equipment to diagnose and repair technical issues.
  • Install cabling for phone, internet, wireless access points, and television systems, including modifications and updates as needed.
  • May require moving equipment, tools, and furniture weighing over 50 lbs.
  • May involve navigating confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces for cabling purposes.

Maintain a supportive and positive atmosphere for colleagues and foster strong relationships with vendors.

Position Details

This role is conducted in a professional and safe environment, utilizing standard communication tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl through confined spaces. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
