Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and assess mortgage loan applications to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with underwriting standards for both conventional and government loan programs (FHA, VA, USDA).
  • Analyze borrowers' financial documentation, including income, assets, credit history, and employment status to evaluate creditworthiness and associated risks.
  • Examine property appraisals and collateral to ensure alignment with lending criteria and standards.
  • Calculate financial metrics such as debt-to-income ratios to evaluate the borrower's repayment capacity.
  • Maintain effective communication with loan officers, processors, and other relevant parties to gather additional information or clarify details regarding loan applications.
