Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at Innovative Composite Engineering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet customer specifications and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections with precision instruments such as gauge blocks, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Operate technical inspection equipment like Faro arms and Instron machines, generating formal inspection reports.
- Maintain records for handling nonconforming product and materials.
- Inspect incoming materials and components to ensure conformance to acceptance criteria.
- Support our Quality Management System (ISO 9000 and AS9100) by collecting, organizing, and presenting quality data, implementing corrective actions and process improvements, and assisting in root cause analyses of quality problems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to drive consistent quality improvement efforts.
- Assist in training personnel and work with suppliers and customers as needed.
- Contribute to various assigned quality projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and local area networks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
This position requires the ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds. The role involves frequent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving, as well as mental activities like maintaining focus, teamwork, and creativity.
The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities. A competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, is offered to successful candidates.
