Electromechanical Assembler

Job Summary:

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler to join our team. As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for building control panels for the interior of machinery. This role requires a high degree of problem-solving ability to wire complex and precision assemblies and complicated machines to build a quality product. The machine has critical electrical specifications and operating relationships with components and completed assemblies, requiring the application of skilled electrical principles and a broad knowledge of electrical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Assembly of complex units
  • Positioning, erecting, aligning, and leveling electrical wiring and components
  • Reading and interpreting work orders, schematics, and specifications
  • Cutting wire to specified lengths
  • Crimping terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends
  • Routing, combing, twisting, wrapping, tying, and attaching wire to terminal points
  • Connecting wiring to accessories
  • Conducting functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies

Requirements:

  • High degree of problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivation skills

Work Environment:

This role is on a manufacturing floor with individual assembly space. Required to bring own tools. Lean Manufacturing Environment. Includes a 10-minute break and one 30-minute lunch. Currently working 5+ hours of overtime weekly. Physical demands include regularly lifting 30-50 pounds, performing repetitive tasks, possessing manual dexterity, and being on their feet for the majority of the shift.
