Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Primary Care PACT team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our outpatient clinic, providing direct medical care to Veterans, and working closely with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic, ensuring compliance with VA regulations and policies.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical care to Veterans, including ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing medication, and consulting with specialty services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare team members, including nurses, therapists, and support staff, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and guidance to clinic staff on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or osteopathic medicine degree.
  • Experience: Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted medical license in any US state.
