Job Description

As a Cardiac Care Nurse Specialist, you will coordinate and implement nursing care while prioritizing patient well-being and education. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide world-class and compassionate care to patients in our cardiac telemetry unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission
  • Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes
  • Document accurately and timely
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
  • Certification in Basic Arrhythmia and ACLS within six months of hire (for 3rd floor telemetry unit)
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including network computer systems, Omnicell medication systems, telemetry, pneumatic tube systems, and AT&T Language Line.

Physical Effort

This role requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day. You must be able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day, lift with assistance up to 250 lbs, and communicate in English verbally and legibly.
