Areté is currently in search of a motivated Program Manager to oversee one of the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) within the Maritime Airborne Sector (MAS). This role involves managing program performance by collaborating with IPT Leads to effectively monitor and communicate business status, including schedule adherence. The selected candidate will focus on automating and enhancing reporting processes through modern tools and refined metrics. Coordination with IPT Leadership will be essential throughout all program phases, from initiation to completion, including proposal development, cost estimation, statement of work creation, negotiations, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee program scope, staffing, risk management, scheduling, budgeting, and deliverables for both internally and externally funded initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key sector personnel to facilitate business operations and enhance workflow efficiency.
- Develop and implement business tools and metrics as directed by Sector Leadership.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for operational efficiencies to Sector Leadership.
- Manage initiatives as outlined by Sector Leadership.
- Coordinate various aspects of the business capture process for specific efforts, including proposal team formation, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Engage in MAS business capture planning activities, including pipeline reviews and opportunity assessments.
- Collaborate with all levels within the MAS Sector and Areté Corporate teams, including management, engineering, finance, and administration.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Experience in program management related to DoD-funded initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the proposal writing process and cost estimation within the DoD context.
- Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and SharePoint.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical experience with DoD programs, including reporting requirements and technical reviews.
- Experience in financial modeling for program performance evaluation, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience with Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
- Experience working with the Department of Defense, particularly the U.S. Navy.
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos.
Salary Information: The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on various factors, including experience and qualifications.
Other Requirements: U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position. Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A background check and drug screening will also be required.
