Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will oversee financial operations, including bank transactions, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and lease accounting. This role involves preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and a proactive approach to process enhancements to support the growth of The Ladders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly cash reconciliations and analyze weekly cash activities.
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review and reconcile deferred revenue schedules to ensure accurate revenue calculations.
- Ensure data alignment between financial systems.
- Manage compliance with sales tax regulations and file necessary returns.
- Oversee foreign entity accounting and prepare relevant journal entries.
- Possess a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as the NetSuite ERP system administrator and liaise with external consultants.
- Assist in year-end audits and tax reporting.
- Support acquisition diligence and integration efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in public accounting or 5 to 7 years in general ledger accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accurate.
- Familiarity with NetSuite.
- CPA certification.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Background in professional services or software industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
