About the Role:

This entry-level position in the Roads Division of the Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) requires a Maintenance & Repair Worker to work as a member of a maintenance or construction crew, performing a wide variety of laboring and semi-skilled duties associated with the maintenance, construction, repair, cleaning and upkeep of county streets, roads and public rights-of-way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of laboring and semi-skilled duties, including maintenance, construction, repair, cleaning and upkeep of county streets, roads and public rights-of-way.
  • Work as a member of a maintenance or construction crew, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate equipment and machinery as required, following proper operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating and inspecting equipment.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
