New Home Consultant Job Description

At Lennar, we're committed to building homes that exceed our customers' expectations. As a New Home Consultant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our customers have an exceptional home-buying experience. Your primary focus will be to administer and coordinate the new home purchase process, working closely with customers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful transaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Sell and process homes in accordance with company business plans, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their new home.
  • Complete online training suites within 30 days of employment to ensure a thorough understanding of Lennar's products and services.
  • Participate in division phone banks and events to stay informed about community developments and sales strategies.
  • Adhere to Lennar's selling philosophy, utilizing all selling and organizational tools provided to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Provide timely and consistent follow-through with current customers, maintaining accurate records of all communication.
  • Travel throughout the local community to self-generate sales from realtor/co-broker businesses, referrals, and self-prospecting.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace, including product, site, local community, sales, advertising, and demographics.
  • Monitor and record daily customer traffic using company-designated tracking tools.
  • Prepare periodic company reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in homeowner orientation sessions and work with customers on builder option purchases.
  • Participate in neighborhood promotions and marketing programs.
  • Communicate with the field team to ensure proper maintenance of Welcome Home Centers and Models.
  • Attend sales meetings to review neighborhood status and sales strategies.
  • Lead and/or assist in processing complete paperwork to result in escrows closing in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in the homebuilding industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Real Estate License in the State of the job posting location (Oregon, Washington, or both).
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge of real estate law required.
  • Knowledge of construction, mortgage, finance, and escrow processes a plus.
  • Must have good communication skills and be organized and efficient.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, resourceful, professional, and capable of achieving weekly goals without extensive supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Committed to self-development of sales and internet skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office with strong social media skills.
  • Accept constructive feedback.
  • Team player with strong work ethic.
