We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Power Converter Systems Specialist. In this role, you will design and develop advanced power converter systems for space satellite applications, utilizing simulation tools and lab setups to achieve exceptional performance specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop switched-mode power converter circuits for space satellite systems, ensuring compliance with physical constraints and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to accommodate device thermals, manufacturing teams to ensure process capabilities, and supply chain teams to mitigate sourcing choke-points.
- Conduct comprehensive simulations and lab measurements to validate electrical and thermal integrity of designs.
- Subject designs to space qualification testing and analysis, including parts screening, design margin analysis, derating, thermal testing, vacuum testing, vibration testing, and material analysis.
- Develop and implement solutions to technical issues, including root cause analysis and formulation of corrective actions.
- Contribute to the analysis and definition of electrical requirements, power management, converter performance, components, and interfaces.
- Lead technical reviews of peer work and evaluate vendor capability.
- Oversee subcontracted engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Generate power module test procedures.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 6+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience.
- Hands-on expertise in simulation and modeling, complex digital radio systems, space payload electronics, and switched-mode power converter circuit design.
- TS/SCI Secret security clearance within 24 months of hire.
- Ability to carry multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively as part of a team.
