Job Summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide high-quality inpatient physical therapy services to children with various medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans to enhance functional skills, restore function, and prevent disability in pediatric patients.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with burns and wounds, orthopedic injuries, brain injuries, and neurological impairments, hematology and oncology disorders, musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, neuromuscular disorders, gross motor delays, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Provide therapy services for chronically ill patients admitted to the hospital for lengthy stays, as well as see additional outpatients for burn and wound care.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals, clinics, and agencies to provide patient and caregiver education, consultation, and documentation.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Pediatric and/or developmental experience preferred.
  • Flexible hours/shifts to accommodate before and after school hours.
  • CPR-BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.
  • State license for physical therapy or eligible for licensure.
