Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Pediatric Rehabilitation Therapist, you will work on an as-needed basis to provide outpatient services to children with various conditions, illnesses, and injuries.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree, DPT, or equivalent experience, and be licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas. Pediatric experience is preferred, and basic life support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat children with sports medicine and orthopedic injuries, brain injuries and neurological impairments, hematology and oncology disorders, musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, gross motor delays, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Provide evaluations for wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices, as well as patient and caregiver education and consultation with other professionals, clinics, and agencies.
- Work with children and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability.
- Master's Degree, DPT, or equivalent experience.
- State license for physical therapy in Texas (or eligible for licensure).
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
