Mental Health Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Warren County Educational Service Center. As a key member of our student services team, you will play a vital role in providing mental health support and guidance to high school students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health consultation and crisis intervention services to students and staff
  • Conduct initial therapeutic assessments, individual and family psychotherapy, and develop treatment plans for students with mental health concerns
  • Work closely with school administrators and community agencies to ensure seamless support for students
  • Develop and implement mental health programs and services to promote student well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate mental health support into the educational environment
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field
  • Ohio licensure as a therapist (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC)
  • Experience working with high school students and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:

This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural competence. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
