Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist II plays a vital role in our treatment team, collaborating with staff from diverse mental health, education, and medical backgrounds.

As a key member of the team, the Therapist II assists in planning and delivering clinical services, case coordination, intervention, consultation, and education services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate adherence to Premier Health's Patient Experience philosophy, guidelines, and tools.
  2. Demonstrate strong ethics, honesty, and adherence to Premier Health's Code of Conduct and Compliance Program.
  3. Schedule, provide, and document all clinical services accurately and according to departmental standards, utilizing evidenced-based practices.
  4. Collaborate with referral sources, internal team members, and external educational and service providers to ensure appropriate patient care and continuity of care.
  5. Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the provided clinical services and intervention methods.
  6. Seek medical provider consultations regarding clinical needs of patients and maintain ongoing communication for coordinating and evaluating patient care.
  7. Demonstrate strong customer satisfaction skills in providing clinical care services and coordinating care with referral sources and other stakeholders.
  8. Demonstrate knowledge of Premier Health's clinical records and assigned Program paperwork standards.
  9. Apply competencies to the provision and documentation of clinical records, including resolving failed activities and alerts within required timeframes.
  10. Demonstrate compliance with agency standards for administration and reporting of outcome measures and documentation of utilization management of clinical care.
  11. Demonstrate knowledge of other regulatory standards and ensure clinical records are maintained in compliance at all times.
  12. Demonstrate knowledge of Information Technology policies and procedures and apply them to the documentation of clinical care according to clinical records and other agency standards.
  13. Ensure all credentialing paperwork for managed care and other reimbursement parties is maintained in compliance with standards.
  14. Attend required staff meetings and trainings, including annual Healthstream trainings, and participate in case conferences as needed.
  15. Meet consistently with Program Supervisor and as needed to review clinical care of patients according to licensing and agency standards and agency supervision plan.
  16. Participate in and complete monthly Peer Reviews.
  17. Ensure productivity standards are met consistently as applicable to departmental standards.
