Liberty Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning, promoting, and leading engaging activities that cater to their interests and needs.

  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity among residents.
  • Collaborate with the care team to identify residents' needs and preferences, and tailor activities accordingly.
  • Assist with the setup and execution of activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outdoor events.
  • Encourage residents to participate in religious programs and leisure activities, and provide support as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and organization of activity supplies, and ensure a safe and clean environment for activities.
  • Work closely with volunteers to coordinate appreciation events and other community engagement initiatives.
  • Transport residents to and from activity programs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Contribute to the development of care plans and progress notes, and participate in admissions assessments and clinical responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in activities, long-term care, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification as an Activities Professional is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse personalities and staff.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL license if required.
