The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for spearheading the design and implementation of innovative technology systems and tools to further the mission of NRG Consulting Group. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Information Officer to evaluate existing systems, processes, and tools.
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance to the executive leadership regarding technology architecture, focusing on recommendations for significant organizational growth;
- Oversee the design and development of new technology systems and tools to enhance organizational capabilities;
- Implement technological solutions, applications, automations, and systems integrations that optimize workflows across the organization, including third-party API integrations;
- Conduct Research & Development initiatives to continuously explore new technologies that can benefit the organization;
- Establish strategic alliances with technology vendors and industry leaders to foster innovation;
- Assess new technologies for compatibility and interoperability with existing systems;
- Align technology architecture with the strategic priorities of the organization;
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, and management of technology staff;
- Provide hands-on support for ongoing projects and initiatives;
- Manage relationships with consultants and vendors, ensuring project timelines are met efficiently;
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in technology architecture, design, development, and team leadership;
- Expertise in computer systems, networking, databases, mass communication technologies, system reliability, and software algorithms;
- Experience in managing technology procurements, including documentation and review of statements of work and proposals;
- Proficiency in programming languages with the ability to read and write code;
- Strong skills in strategic planning, direction, and goal setting that lead to measurable outcomes;
- Demonstrated experience in fast-paced and complex work environments, both in-person and remotely;
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and provide recommendations for problem resolution;
- Strong research and analytical capabilities;
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion;
- Capability to estimate technical solutions;
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
The salary range for this position is competitive and includes comprehensive medical insurance and a 401(k) plan with employer contributions.
