Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Advisor to join our team at Premier Health. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a critical role in efficiently managing resources and utilization to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care in the most appropriate setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical staff leadership and the entire medical staff to develop and implement methods to optimize use of hospital services for all patients.
  • Work closely with hospital leadership to develop care management protocols with physicians and others to ensure efficient management of resources, accurate documentation, and compliance.
  • Perform peer-to-peer reviews, short stay reviews, and extended observation reviews to ensure patients are in the appropriate level of care.
  • Provide medical staff education and training as required, and provide periodic reports to the Board, Medical Executive Committee, and Joint Conference as needed.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and hospital leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
