Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers, engine nacelle components, and specialized aerostructures. We supply and support these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers, and aircraft operators. Our 1.7-million sq. ft. facility is situated on 180 acres in Maryland, near Baltimore. We have a rich history of designing, building, and equipping civil and military aircraft for over 90 years. In 2019, we were acquired by ST Engineering North America, becoming part of its global network of aerospace facilities and offices.
Job SummaryThe NXL Product Manager will collaborate closely with Program Managers and Operations to ensure efficient industrial planning and support for the NXL program, aligning with delivery schedules and business objectives. This role requires strong critical thinking, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of NXL program Industrial Planning, including developing production delivery plans, creating and executing production introduction and ramp plans, managing work transfer and product change introductions, identifying and mitigating delivery risks, developing production recovery plans, and customer interface.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the production process.
- Conduct capacity assessments, cycle time analyses, and manpower planning to fulfill production needs.
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing delivery and operational efficiency.
- Support, prepare, and present regular Industrial reviews to MRAS, Partners, and Customers. Coordinate with external joint venture partners and participate in STE Production System (STEPS), Configuration Control Board (CCB), and Program Control Board (PCB).
- Travel internationally and provide on-site support.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with aviation experience.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Background in managing operations processes, optimizing workflows, and improving efficiency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
