Job Summary

Randstad is seeking a highly experienced Tooling Manager to lead our tool room operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of tool room employees, contractors, or vendors engaged in the production or processing of tools in our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safety Protocols - Ensure adherence to safety protocols by all department employees at all times.
  • Tool Reliability - Ensure reliability of tools by working to reduce scrap and downtime due to tooling failures.
  • Preventative Maintenance - Have a robust preventative maintenance program that covers tooling and fixtures.
  • Tool Design Changes - Involved in tool design changes to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • APQP Process - Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process with engineering.
  • Team Supervision - Supervise and coordinate the activities of tool makers, and apprentices in the tool room.
  • Performance Management - Supervision of team members to include training and development, communication and enforcement of company policies and procedures, performance coaching and evaluation, and written documentation of team member performance issues.
  • Operations Planning - Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences, to meet production goals.
  • Operations Data - Maintains operations data, such as time, production, cost records, develop and maintain TS16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions for tool room.
Requirements
  • Experience - 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Level - Manager level experience.
Skills
  • Hot Stamping - Experience with hot stamping processes.
  • Automotive Manufacturing - Experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Tool Room Management - Experience in tool room management.
