Job Summary

The Mechanical Drafter I will be responsible for creating and/or modifying detail and assembly design layouts and drawings under engineering direction and supervision. This role requires a foundational understanding of 2D and 3D CAD software interfaces and tools, as well as the ability to develop basic 3D part and assembly files with guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of CAD software and drawing tools.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D designs and drawings.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed drawings and designs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, trade school diploma, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 0-2 years' experience in mechanical drafting or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD software, geometric tolerancing fundamentals, and established design standards.
  • Technical competence, including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite programs.
  • Proficient in general office equipment and skilled at typing.
  • Knowledge of communication principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of business arithmetic.
