About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Care Specialist to join our team at Altruix. As a Pharmacy Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, providing exceptional care to our clients, and working closely with our healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process and Manage Medications: You will be responsible for processing new prescriptions, managing resident profiles, and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: You will communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing clear and concise information, and resolving any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate with Healthcare Teams: You will work closely with our healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, medication orders, and other relevant data.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or customer service setting.
  • Skills and Knowledge: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to operate a computer, and have a strong understanding of medication management and healthcare regulations.
  • Licenses and Certifications: You must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and have a valid MD certification.
